Emily Johnson

Consultant Advocate

Emily qualified as advocate in 2019 and brings to Innova Law a wealth of experience from both the Isle of Man and the UK. Before relocating to the Island in 2017, she spent several years working in the legal profession in England and Wales, developing a broad and balanced legal foundation.

She joined Innova Law in May 2025 as a Legal Consultant to support client matters across the firm’s commercial and regulatory caseload.

In recent years, Emily has focused on complex commercial litigation, regulatory advisory work, and trusts litigation for a range of corporate clients. Her training at a mixed-practice firm gave her exposure to both contentious and non-contentious legal work, which continues to inform her adaptable and pragmatic approach.

Emily completed her undergraduate degree, Graduate Diploma in Law, and Bar Professional Training Course through part-time and distance learning while working in the legal sector—a testament to her drive and dedication. She is a three-time winner of the Isle of Man Law Society’s George Johnson Law Essay Prize and currently sits a member of the Council of the Isle of Man Law Society. She has also been recognised as an “Advocate to Watch” by the Chambers UK legal directory.
