Andrew Langan-Newton is a dispute resolution lawyer with over 11 years’ experience as an Isle of Man Advocate, bringing to Innova Law a broad and well-established practice across complex contentious and advisory matters.
Andrew provides advice and assistance to clients in trust law, company and insolvency law, public and constitutional law, employment law, whistleblowing and discrimination complaints, property disputes, negligence, commercial disputes, planning law and environmental law, contributing to the firm’s ability to support clients across a wide range of issues.
Andrew has appeared for clients in the Isle of Man High Court, the Isle of Man Appellate Court, the Staff of Government Division, and the Employment & Equality Tribunal, strengthening Innova Law’s capability to represent clients at all levels of the Manx legal system.
Andrew has a particular interest in Isle of Man trust law, constitutional law and environmental law, complementing the firm’s work in these areas. He has presented several times at the annual Isle of Man conference of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners. He has been awarded the George Johnson Law Prize on three separate occasions for public and constitutional law, reflecting his strong academic grounding. Andrew has been published in the UK legal journal Environmental Law & Management on the topic of Isle of Man environmental law, demonstrating his engagement with developing legal issues in this field.
